I have a number of thoughts about the first few episodes of G.I. Joe: Renegades, which boil down to liking some parts and not liking others. (Amazingly, I hate this version of Duke more than all the others. Since Duke has long possessed the distinction of being one of a bare handful of fictional characters I hate, this is saying something.)

What I am hung up on, though, is this part of Snake Eyes official bio: "this masked mercenary used to show up just for special missions whenever Scarlett called." So, in this universe, Snake Eyes does not work for the army (at least not any more) and has no reason to hang around after SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER other than devotion to Scarlett.

... if the show expects me to 'ship her with Duke, they are really doing it wrong.
