Fringe: Why Is It Not September Yet?

I've been a fan of Fringe since the pilot leaked online, but it's come to my attention that a lot more people around my journalling services are watching it now, so maybe I should actually post about it. I only caught up on the Season Two finale yesterday, as I completely lost track of the show when it went on hiatus. I'm kind of glad I have a slightly shorter and thus less painful wait until Season Three.
Anyway, it made me happy, not least because my OTP were finally on screen at the same time! Is anyone in this universe or the next surprised that I've 'shipped William/Walter since Walter started talking about his old friend back in Season One, long before the mysterious Dr. Bell appeared on screen? And canon has done nothing to dissuade my 'shipping since.
Naturally I am sad that they will never get more shared screen time unless Bell returns from the dead, or there are more flashbacks. Or he turns out to have been lying through his teeth about the fate of his parallel universe self, or there's another alternate universe out there or ... well, it suffices to say that the thing most likely to keep the character from returning is the time/money difficulties of getting Leonard Nimoy, not his sparkly heroic sacrifice. Possibly I will just have to write fanfic instead.
Speaking of people back from the dead: CHARLIEEEEE!!! One of my favourite parts of the finale was the delighted grin on Peter's face when he saw AU!Charlie, a reminder that it's not just Olivia who's upset about his death. I would be very happy if we got to keep him, at least for guest spots.
Other things I would like to see in Season Three:
1) Our Walter meeting Secretary of Defence Walternate Bishop face to face. This is not going to end well, but it should be epic.
2) Someone (it's probably going to be Peter) revealing to to Alt!Elizabeth that her husband got their son back so he could hook him up to a giant machine and use it to destroy another universe. I can't imagine this news will make her happy.
3) More Astrid! And also more Broyles. And then more Astrid.
4) For Peter and Olivia to get together. This is the first time I've ever been keen on the main het pairing in a J.J. Abrams show - I like both characters, I like the way their interact, I think they're adorable together. I've been pleased with the way the relationship has been handled so far, and I think it's now time for them to take it to the next level. (I mean, obviously having Olivia trapped in another universe at the moment is going to slow them down, but after she gets back.) There's no reason the dynamic of the show would be damaged if they were a couple. They're going to have to have sex at Olivia's place, though. Having Walter making salt water taffy, bursting into song or reciting Pi in the next room would put anyone off.
5) More episodes where Walter gets stoned and tells noir fairytales full of inappropriate content and singing corpses to Ella. Or failing that, at least more of Olivia in a fedora.
I would add 'more Olivia Dunham being awesome' to the list, but we all know that will be included in any episode of Fringe.
